The Purchasing Department is responsible for the cost-effective and expeditious procurement of goods and services to support the scientific and administrative endeavors of the Rockefeller University. The Rockefeller University Purchasing Department, along with the Receiving and Stockroom Departments, help ensure that equipment, supply and service needs of the University are accomplished in a professional manner that also adheres to all legal requirements and best business practices.
The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for receipt, sorting, and delivery of all University mail correspondence, as well as preparation of all outbound metered postage. Will delivering packages to and from the Purchasing Office to the Receiving Department.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good working knowledge of computers such as MS Office required. This position requires working a Saturday shift (8:00am - 11:00am).
Must be able to lift, hold, or carry up to 40 pounds. Must be able to engage in a full range of motion, stand for extended periods, bend, push, pull, and reach above the shoulders.
