The Rockefeller University Hospital is funded by the National Institutes of Health and has 20 patient beds for clinical research. The Hospital provides researchers with an opportunity to conduct clinical studies, and offers both normal volunteers and people with diseases under study the opportunity to stay in the hospital and help to contribute to important advances in science. The Hospital has an inpatient unit as well as an outpatient center where prospective patients are screened and many outpatient studies are conducted. The Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day with professional nurses and has nutritional research, social work, art and recreation departments, and a radiology suite as well as its own research pharmacy. The Recruitment Specialist will work with the Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) team to provide early consultation to research groups to optimize participant recruitment, develop recruitment plans and advertising materials across a variety of research protocols, manage ad postings and web presence, prescreen and schedule volunteers for research studies across multiple teams, and manage recruitment database, metrics, related SOPs, and websites. Will conduct Quality Assurance (QA), support reporting/operations, and participate in scholarly work to describe innovations.
Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge and experience in one or more areas of clinical research, patient recruitment, healthcare, community outreach, or customer service required. Must have excellent telephone communication skills, a professional demeanor, superb attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, data entry, and data management necessary; experience with design and REDCap helpful. Personal initiative is important.
