We investigate the regulatory mechanisms of RNA interference, microRNA-mediated translational control, and RNA-guided chromatin modifications. Classical and combinatorial biochemical techniques are used to analyze the function of the RNA- and protein-components involved in those processes.

Overview

The Laboratory of RNA Molecular Biology is looking for a highly motivated individual help advance ongoing projects in the lab.

Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will participate in a multi-disciplinary program focused on thein the development of orally available anti-viral drugs for the treatment of viruses with pandemic potential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science required

  • Educational emphasis in chemistry and biochemistry preferred

  • Must be familiar with recombinant protein expression and purification

  • Preparation of reagents, and other basic chemistry and molecular biology techniques

  • Experience using robotic liquid handling equipment preferred

  • Must have ability to work independently, as well as interact professionally and effectively in a collaborative work environment.
