Job Title Research Assistant
Laboratory / Department Laboratory of Morphogenesis
The Research Assistant will assist with the start-up of a laboratory that explores how organs and tissues in their body acquire their form and fate. Will work directly with the lab head to set up critical operational aspects of the lab (e.g. setting up microscopes, establishing tissue dissection stations, maintaining tissue culture). As core operations become established, the Research Assistant's role will expand to performing experiments involving tissue harvesting and dissection, histology, and microscopy, with the opportunity for independent projects.
Bachelor's degree in science required; educational emphasis in cell biology, developmental biology, or biophysics preferred. Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. Must have some experience in molecular biology, tissue culture, or embryology and be driven by scientific curiosity.
